Virtual Lighting Console
The big difference between CueServer and a conventional lighting console is that all of CueServer's console controls are not built into the unit as a large array of complicated knobs, sliders and buttons, but instead are "virtual". All of CueServer's lighting controls are viewed and operated via CueServer's built-in web pages or are automated by CueServer's show control features. You can use a web browser on nearly any PC, Mac, PDA, Tablet or even cell phone to view and manipulate CueServer's controls. CueServer's DMX implementation rivals that of many similar devices. Not only does CueServer enjoy having the brain of a lighting console, but it can also handle unique requirements like playing back streaming DMX sequences, and CueServer has one of the smoothest scene crossfaders available, which is important for controlling LED-based lighting fixtures. One of the most powerful features of CueServer is that the virtual lighting console can be automated by using CueScript statements to tie together system events with show playback actions. A timer can turn on lights, or a contact closure input may start a sequence, or an alarm system panel may need to bring up emergency lighting. |
