Flash Based Custom User Interfaces : Decorative Architectural Lighting

The market for color-changing or entertainment-style lighting fixtures in architectural projects is expanding at a rapid pace. The available fixtures are astounding, but the options to control them have not been. CueServer's custom Flash-based user interfaces running on remote PCs (or Tablets, or wireless PDAs) bring an entirely new control option to the table. CueServer can deliver a truly unique way for users to operate their lighting systems. Like magic, the system programmer can construct a custom tailored web application that perfectly fits the customer's needs.

In this example, the picture of the building is generated "live" by the actual DMX lighting levels being sent to six RGB fixtures. Select a fixture by clicking on the buttons below the image or by clicking the image itself. Then, use the three "RGB" sliders to adjust the color of each fixture. A palette of preset colors is provided for easy color selection. Also, several presets are available as well.

The CueServer in this project is programmed to turn on the Hotel's lights at dusk and off before dawn (via it's built-in astronomical time function). The lights will automatically return to the colors set with this control screen. The building owner now has a simple "state-of-the-art" way to select dramatic looks for their building.
