One of the problems with generic lighting playback devices is their limited ability to interact with the operator or provide for external control input from human beings. CueServer offers many ways to connect to the outside world. Depending on a project's requirements, any of the following Custom User Interface options can be used: Front-Panel Buttons CueServer Pro has eight user-programmable function buttons (with LEDs) right on it's front panel. Program each button with custom CueScript statements that can make CueServer perform nearly any task.
Built-In LCD Display By default, the CueServer Pro's LCD display shows the date and time and a few other operating information, but it can be customized to display nearly any kind of information to the user. Custom LCD prompts can make the system easier to use.
Button Stations Using the digital input and output ports, CueServer can be directly wired to one or more simple button stations. Provide simple controls on a wall mounted station that can directly trigger CueServer events. Events in CueServer can be programmed to illuminate the LEDs on the station.
LCD Touchscreens Use off-the-shelf LCD Touchscreens with CueServer. Industrial strength LCD panels available from Interactive Technologies or other 3rd party sources can be directly integrated with CueServer via Ethernet.
Wall-Mounted or Tablet PCs Using CueServer's built-in web pages or by creating custom Flash-based front-ends for CueServer, nearly any generic PC can display CueServer controls. A wall-mounted or Tablet PC running a web browser suddenly becomes a cost-effective and flexible custom terminal for your CueServer project.
Flash-Based Front Ends Using Adobe's Macromedia Flash, system programmers can create fully interactive, dynamic and very graphical custom user interfaces for CueServer. Running on any PC, Mac or PDA that supports Flash, custom onscreen objects can communicate with CueServer via Ethernet. The possibilities for providing completely custom, highly user-friendly front-ends for CueServer projects are nearly endless.
Automation System Integration CueServer can easily integrate with Home or Office Automation Systems from manufacturers like Crestron®, Vantage®, AMX® and others. Use LCD and button stations from these other popular packages and integrate them with CueServer using RS-232 connections between CueServer and the automation system controllers.
