SceneStation for Studio Applications

Many television studios have sophisticated dimming systems to accurately control all of the lighting instruments on each set. Although a full-blown lighting console is typically used to focus and set up the lights, after this task has been completed for a particular set, the console is no longer needed.

The lighting director can record the necessary scenes into a wall-mounted SceneStation and take the console away. Buttons for lights up/down, several set configurations and a maintenance "lamp check" mode can all be accessed through SceneStation's simple interface.

Using the IR remote, the director can "lock out" the buttons, so that that can't be accidentally pressed while "on air".

Using the wireless option, multiple stations can be linked together, creating more sophisticated setups.  For example, one station can be located next to each set and one or more master stations can be located in the control booth, allowing the lighting director to control the lighting rig from anywhere.

By wiring a Male DMX Input jack to SceneStation's DMX port, a lighting console can be plugged into the system at any time - SceneStation will automatically let the temporary console take full control of the lighting rig (and allow new snapshots to be recorded into SceneStation's memory).
