| SceneStation DMX Features |
|
SceneStation outputs DMX directly, there's no need for an external processor or a lighting console to connect SceneStation to one or more DMX-based lighting fixtures, dimmers or effects. SceneStation has a bi-directional DMX port that allows an external lighting console to be connected to the same DMX network that the lighting fixtures are connected to. If SceneStation detects another source of DMX, it immediately stops transmitting DMX, allowing the console to be in full control of the lights -- and allows SceneStation to be able to record the DMX levels (snapshot) into one of its scene memories. The bi-directional DMX feature also allows SceneStation to function as a console backup unit. While the console is attached and functioning properly, it's controlling the lights. As soon as the console is powered-off, disconnected or fails to output DMX, the SceneStation will automatically take over and bring the lights up to whatever scene is currently active on the SceneStation. |
