Serial commands can be sent to Sidewinder through its built-in RS-232 port to control all of Sidewinder's internal DMX processing features.

Operating Sidewinder in this way is mostly intended for system integrators who want to use Sidewinder as a DMX interface for a show controller, media player, PC or anything else that outputs an RS-232 signal. Hobbyists can also use Sidewinder to experiment with DMX from their own computer applications.
