Sidewinder Bluetooth Module Tired of cables? With the new Sidewinder Bluetooth Module, the serial connection between your Palm OS compatible PDA and Sidewinder can be made without cables using advanced Bluetooth® wireless technology.Many new Palm OS compatible PDAs (including popular handhelds such as Tungsten, Clié and more) include integrated Bluetooth hardware that can be used to eliminate the need for clumsy serial HotSync cables between the PDA and the Sidewinder. Simply attach the Sidewinder Bluetooth Module to either the Portable Sidewinder or the Sidewinder XR, tap on the Bluetooth option in the Interface tab of Figment 5.1 and you're up and running with Figment and Sidewinder talking to each other without cables. Take your wireless handheld up to 200 feet (60 meters) or more(1) from the Sidewinder interface and remain "connected". Focus lights, run cues, view levels, download shows and even check cables. Everything Figment does can be done wirelessly with the Sidewinder Bluetooth Module. Or, if you're using Sidewinder as an RS-232 to DMX converter, your PC or Mac can use it's Bluetooth hardware to wirelessly connect to the Sidewinder via the Serial Port Profile (SPP).
