What happens when I connect an AC Adaptor to my MicroTech while batteries are installed in the MicroTech?

When the AC Adaptor is attached to the MicroTech, the batteries are mechanically disconnected from the internal circuitry. The AC Adaptor does not attempt to charge the batteries.

The AC Adaptor will operate properly regardless if batteries are installed or not.

If you plan to have a MicroTech powered by an AC Adaptor for an extended period of time, it's always best to remove the batteries to reduce the risk that the batteries will go bad and damage the inside of the MicroTech.
