| Checking Cables With The MicroTech DMX |
How can a check cables using the MicroTech DMX? The MicroTech DMX has a data integrity test function that is used to verify the passage of data from a console to the MicroTech. The questionable cable is attached from any console (or another MicroTech) to the DMX Input connector of the MicroTech. The Error Count ("Err") function will then display any errors detected in the data stream. If this function does not detect any errors, the cable is capable of transmitting DMX data properly. The MicroTech DMX cannot perform a double-ended cable check. A double-ended cable check is one where both ends of a single cable are attached to the MicroTech.
